This model is water-resistant to 50 meters. That rating is suitable for everyday wear and brief water exposure (rain, hand-washing). It is not intended for swimming or showering unless the rating exceeds 100m, and never for pressurized water (hot tubs, scuba diving) unless explicitly designed for it.
This watch is powered by a IM-D-002, IM-Q-289 movement. Quartz movements use a battery and are extremely accurate.
